TGIF! (Thank God It's Friday)
That pretty much sums up my feeling this evening: Thank God It's Friday! Work is done, and for the next two days I can focus on the things in life that really make me happy.

I've got no trips planned this weekend, so I'll probably shoot some hoops with my friends on Saturday and then just lounge around the house with Monk the cat for the rest of the day. Did I mention I'm glad it's Friday?

Is Hybrid the Way Forward?
I was reviewing my personal finances recently, and I realized that a huge chunk of my income goes straight into my gas tank. I've been hearing a lot about hybrid cars lately, and I wondered if it might not be worth the investment. The problem is, I don't really know the first thing about hybrids.

I found a pretty extensive article on hybrid cars at HowStuffWorks.com, and if you're thinking of getting a hybrid then you should probably read this, too. It talks about the mechanics and technology, tells you how to drive a hybrid to maximize your gas mileage and provides a ton of other useful information. For example, did you know that keeping your speed constant boosts fuel efficiency?
